Our Approach

While remaining current with industry standards and best practices is important, fostering critical thinking and cultural change is what makes you a leader and trusted resource. Catharsis Productions is currently offering three different types of continuing education opportunities. These can be conducted virtually or in-person for your institution or you can join us for an online event we host internally. Each program is accepted by the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP)® as continuing education (CE) hours toward their CE renewal requirement. Additionally, we offer customized programs and consulting to meet more unique and specific needs.

  • Transfer of Capacity – Our Force of Awesome Institute is a "Train- the-Trainer" that helps violence prevention professionals create and deliver impactful programs fit for their target audiences. Involving classroom instruction, peer support, and expert coaching we take participants from good to great! We offer multi-day and abridged, one-day versions. The latter version qualifies for six CE hours.

  • Combatting Victim Blaming – In this session we acknowledge the complexity in responding to interpersonal violence and misconduct, understanding how and why people blame victims of crime, and establishing what we can do about it in our lives today and as leaders in our community. This qualifies for two CE hours.

  • Technology Facilitated Sexual Violence – Technology is moving at the speed of light, serving as an extension of traditional abuse, allowing perpetrators to harass, exploit, and control others on a much larger and more permanent scale. Learn how to identify and address it as digital spaces are now central to how people connect, and failing to do so leaves major gaps in safety, education, and survivor support. This qualifies for two CE hours.
