An interactive interrogation acknowledging the complexity in responding to sexual violence and misconduct, understanding how and why people blame victims of crime, and establishing what we can do about it in our lives today and as leaders in our community.

- Dives into the definition and markers of victim blaming as a societal norm
- Explores how cultural norms and narratives around victims of these crimes keep us from helping how we want to
- Demonstrates why people invest in these arguments and the psychological phenomenon behind them
- Allows first responders (faculty, advocates, student leaders, legal and law enforcement professionals, etc) the space to challenge their own biases without exposing them to peers
- Arms participants with strategies and tools to challenge toxic common victim blaming attitudes while avoiding antagonistic engagement.
- Promotes living our values as we respond to difficult incidents moving forward

- Can be conducted virtually or in-person for your institution or you can join us for an online event we host internally
- Program is accepted by the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP)® as two continuing education (CE) hours toward their CE renewal requirement
