Screen Share

This online training program gives college students the knowledge, language, and tools to navigate digital intimacy safely and confidently. “Screen Share” validates technology as a normal part of intimate life while clearly naming how that access can be exploited for harm. Informed by research and engaging, character-driven modules, students explore image-based sexual abuse, tech-facilitated stalking, digital consent, and survivor resources in a format they will actually complete…and actually remember.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this program, students will be able to:

• Define technology-facilitated sexual violence (TFSV), including image-based sexual abuse, non-consensual intimate image distribution, sextortion, AI-generated abuse imagery, and tech-facilitated stalking.
• Articulate the concept of digital access, what it is, how it is granted, and how changes in relationship dynamics can make previously consensual access feel unsafe.
• Apply the principles of ongoing, specific, and revocable consent to digital intimate relationships, including recognizing when previously granted access should be revisited.
• Identify risk reduction strategies for digital intimate activity while distinguishing between personal risk reduction and perpetrator accountability.
• Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate first responses when experiencing or witnessing TFSV, including evidence preservation, bystander intervention, and support-seeking.
• Identify campus, legal, and national resources available to survivors of TFSV and articulate that survivors retain full agency in determining if, how, and when to pursue reporting or support.

“Screen Share” is designed to foster multiple opportunities for students to engage in critical thinking exercises without shame. It features various interactive “games” and a multi-path format. Depending on how students answer the questions posed throughout, responses will be tailored to how they identify their relationship with technology and digital intimacy. The program also strategically incorporates humor and scenarios to make messages more relatable and less dogmatic. Like Catharsis Productions’ other online trainings, this interactive program feels like a conversation. The structure, content, and approach are informed by research into motivated reasoning and critical thinking.

• Learners access the program via a SSO (single-sign-on) link (so all students will use one link)
• Learner completion tracking can be provided with multiple methods (including hourly)
• We will make your campus information (policies, resources, etc.) accessible within the program
• We can incorporate a campus-supplied video as an introduction to the program to provide additional campus-personalization
