John Oliver continues to be our favorite person ever. This time, he’s joining forces with Laverne Cox, Jack McBrayer, Kumail Nanjiani, Kristen Schaal, Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally to create the perfect sex ed video.
In the above video, Oliver discusses the problems some schools face in teaching sex ed, including the confusion students have around the definition of consent. While some people argue sex ed is best taught in the home, Oliver disagrees:
“Teaching sex ed in schools is really important for obvious reasons: No parent wants to talk to their kids about sex, and no kid wants to talk about sex with their parents. That is why when you’re watching a movie together and there’s a sex scene, everyone becomes motionless and silently begs for the merciful release of death.”
